Welcome to the Cognitive Modeling Laboratory Website

Here we explore various issues in cognitive psychology that advance our understanding of human cognition and performance. For example, how central cognitive processes such as memory and planning are influenced and constrained by more peripheral systems such as vision and motor-control. In addition, we examine how these dynamics unfold over time as a result of learning, strategy-change, expertise and aging.

In the lab we develop detailed models of our theories and test them with a variety of techniques including experimentation, computer simulation, as well as physical and electrophysiological measurement.
